Portfolio sites are difficult. The challenge is balancing the visually interesting with the “average joe” CMS – to give the power of the site to the person the site is highlighting. Sean Graney is a director in Chicago receiving critical acclaim, and needed a site that had the ability to display video, photo galleries, allow for interaction between Sean and visitors and highlight his work. Using WordPress as a base, I customized a theme and handed him the keys. Sean doesn’t need an “IT department” to make updates – he just needs the content, something he delivers on a consistent basis.
