Timeout Chicago put up a little post on the Timeout blog about the new WTTW show IL-Informed. They say public television isn’t funny but obviously Madeline has never seen Rick Steeves. I think that dude is hilarious! Or Between the Lions, which is really funny when high. Anyway, here is the review.

The show on Saturday up at the Red Line Tap was a kick-ass return to Rogers Park! Not only did we return to 1998 in style (can anyone say Missy Elliott remix of Heartbreaker?!) – but the true magic wasn’t just on stage… It was in the AUDIENCE. Laughs and PBR, always a good combo. PBR Tour: Empty Bottle!

Can you believe it? We are now at the halfway point of our PBR Rent Party tour. The show last Saturday at the Red Line Tap was off the hook and now we move south to the Empty Bottle! Calling all Hipsters! The show is at an earlier start (8pm) but no worries – the show is awesome. Ken Barnard, Claudia Wallace, Inda Graig-Galvan, Yuri Lane and the Blue Ribbon Glee Club will be rockin’ the spot with us. Also, I think Todd Voorhies is introducing his summer fashion line at the club. Just an FYI. This is the show to be at.

Friday night Schad was out in front of the Artists’ Snack Shop on Michigan with resident Artistic Director Christopher Kriss, and his protege, Danny Fine, teaching all those interested How To Act Like A Cowboy.

Besides dodging rainstorms, Christopher and Danny entertained the populace, and advertised a few of his upcoming workshops – How to Audition for a Mt. Dew Commercial, How to Emote with TXT MSGING, and One-Man Show as Therapy.

Once Sandy reads this, he’s gonna be SUPER JEALOUS. See, he was like an RA at Space Camp. He was the guy who knew everyone by name, called guys, “Chief” and “Captain” and made all the kids call him “Shuttle Commander”. So he loves Space. And NASA. But who wouldn’t – he’s just a red-blooded American who’s proud of the achievements of his country.

But I’m gonna beat him into space. No Big Deal, but my name is gonna go on a microchip that’s headed into space and the moon or some shit like that. Sandy? He’s stuck with his Earth-bound memories. My name, along with a Gazillion other people’s, is going to be shot into space, and hopefully read by some alien who can read English. Or mathematics, or whatever.
