SeanGraney.com

Portfolio sites are difficult. The challenge is balancing the visually interesting with the “average joe” CMS - to give the power of the site to the person the site is highlighting. Sean Graney is a director in Chicago receiving critical acclaim, and needed a site that had the ability to display video, photo galleries, allow for interaction between Sean and visitors and highlight his work. Using Wordpress as a base, I customized a theme and handed him the keys. Sean doesn’t need an “IT department” to make updates - he just needs the content, something he delivers on a consistent basis.

Schadenfreude.net

The site for my own Company, Schadenfreude Media, LLC, has gone through several incarnations over the last 10 years. The company began as a theatre company, and has moved to where it is now, a creative warehouse available for hire by advertising agencies, corporate event managers and production studios. Starting out as a “poster site” - advertising stage shows, the site has grown with the company. With partners scattered around the country, the decision was made to move to a “blog” - allowing the comedic writings, observations and multimedia endeavors of the company to be easily showcased.

The Professional Theatre Training Program at the University of Delaware simply needed a refresh on their site.  Updated graphics, colors and a bit of Web 2.0 brought the PTTP current, and competitive with several competing programs in the same industry.  Additionally, optimization of keywords, metatags and page content led to increased organic search result placement assisting in recruiting a wider net of candidates for the program.

PTTPShowcase.com

The Professional Theatre Training Program needed a way to showcase their graduating class.  A class of 24 actors auditioning in New York count on their face being recognizable, not their name.  This site was created to allow casting directors to get in touch with the actors.  The URL was used on all marketing materials.  Simple, elegant, effective.
